Energy and Environmental Coordinator
Position Description
The Energy and Environmental Coordinator will work primarily as the Energy Management System Coordinator (EnMS Coordinator) within the Group Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Compliance Team, supporting the business through maintaining ESB’s Energy Management System (EnMS) to ISO 50001 Standard and delivering on ESB’s regulatory energy targets. They will also play a key role in preparing submissions for ESB Group’s annual external energy monitoring requirements through the SEAI Monitoring and Reporting system. They will also manage and take part in environment and sustainability initiatives, including coordinating and supporting Environmental Management Systems (EMS) across ESB Group.

Key Responsibilities
Monitoring and recording monthly energy data for ESB Group’s Buildings portfolio and yellow vehicle fleet
Prepare monthly energy performance reports for buildings and fleet & coordinate and prepare ESB’s submissions into SEAI M&R Public Sector regulatory energy reporting
Liaise with business units and develop an energy objectives programme, setting energy performance targets, with a corresponding delivery plan and KPIs
Coordinate, oversee and document quarterly meetings for the Energy Management Team & support and advise a cross-functional Energy Management Team with regular reporting and proposals for improvements and changes to scope of EnMS
Conduct and support Internal Audits of the EnMS, reviewing findings assess issues arising and complete registers of non-conformities and opportunities for improvement
Liaise with the EnMS external certification auditors for planning and completion of external programme of surveillance and re-accreditation audits to maintain ISO certification
Input to energy awareness content delivery and competency development for ESB employees who affect energy consumption and energy performance & support the wider SHE & Sustainability Teams with SEAI and CSRD Sustainability Reporting
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a an environmental, energy management, sustainability or similar role
Excellent influencing, leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to work on one’s own initiative and take ownership of projects
An ability to build strong working relationships with personnel involved in Energy Management across the group
Proficient in presenting information and ideas using MS Excel and the range of MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
Desirable
Knowledge and experience of Energy Management Systems and/or Environmental Management
Knowledge of ISO certified management systems
Experience in designing and developing data visualisation through Microsoft Power BI
Driving license
Location
This position will be based ESB Head Office (F27), 27 Lower Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin 2.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least two anchor days per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.

Salary
€48,000 - €56,500 depending on experience.
