A permanent full-time vacancy currently exists within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the following post and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates:-
Energy Manager
37 hours per week
Scale PO5 and in the range SCP 40-43, £53,051 - £56,293 per annum.
Location: The location of this post will be confirmed following the appointment process and may be subject to review as part of the review of services.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Lead the development, co-ordination, implementation and evaluation of Council’s Energy, Carbon Reduction, and Renewable Technology Strategy and Action Plan, providing a road map for delivery of energy and cost savings. Working with a variety of internal & external stakeholders to implement new strategies, processes and technologies that will positively impact the business as a whole leading to large-scale changes within the organisation.
Actively engagement with stakeholders to deliver Council’s Energy security, Energy Efficiency, and Renewable Technology ambitions, ensuring that these are delivered within Council’s framework of quality standards, performance targets, budgetary controls and legislative requirements.
Act as lead officer on energy conservation issues relating to councils Environmental Strategy, developing innovative approaches to the promotion and funding of energy conservation within council and providing guidance on all energy & carbon management issues.
