Job Summary
Engagement and Recovery Officer
The Engagement and Recovery Officer plays a key role in promoting recovery-oriented practice through meaningful engagement with individuals supported by Nua Healthcare, their families/carers, service management, and relevant stakeholders.
The role exists to ensure individuals feel heard, empowered, and actively involved in their recovery, while supporting services to deliver person-centred, collaborative, and effective care in line with regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements.

Promote and support recovery-oriented, person-centred services through meaningful engagement with individuals, families/carers, and supporters.
Ensure the voices of individuals and vulnerable groups are heard and inform service delivery, decision-making, and service improvement.
Facilitate regular feedback and engagement mechanisms to capture experiences, satisfaction levels, and emerging issues.
Support active involvement of individuals, families/carers, and supporters in service planning, improvement, and evaluation.
Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Management Team.
Act as an Expert by Experience, supporting hope, empowerment, and recovery through guidance and group-based initiatives.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, procedures, and legislation, including Mental Health Commission requirements.
Lived experience of caring for a person with mental health difficulties, with insight into the recovery process and the ability to reflect on this experience objectively.
Experience supporting or delivering recovery-oriented, co-produced mental health initiatives or projects.
Strong engagement skills, including group facilitation and working effectively with individuals, families/carers, and supporters.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support service improvement.
Knowledge of mental health services, recovery principles, and quality standards, with an understanding of policies, procedures, and best practice.
Excellent organisation, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deliver work effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility, empathy, and professionalism.
