Engineering Apprentice
OVERALL ROLE OBJECTIVE: Reporting to the Development Engineering Team Leader and working alongside the Mechanical Development Engineers, the successful candidate will attend training from an agreed Training Provider whilst gaining practical experience in AES over an initial two-year period. A further two-year period will comprise of 4 days per week in Almac in conjunction with day release to allow additional academic training.
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Attend training as specified by the chosen training facilitator. Report to work in engineering department when not attending training. 2. Manufacture of framework components from engineering drawings. 3. Fabrication and assembly of components using hand tools. 4. Modification and repair of components for use in Production. 5. Bench finishing and fitting of components and tooling. 6. Maintain a clean and tidy working environment. 7. Comply with all instructions laid down in the company’s SOP’s and Engineering Procedures. 8. Any other duties deemed appropriate in relation to the position, including working additional hours as requested. QUALIFICATIONS
3 GCSE (or equivalent) passes Grade C or above in English Language and Mathematics (OR working towards an equivalent) KEY SKILLS
Good communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to work under own initiative to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
