We are now recruiting a Drug Product Engineering Lead at our manufacturing site in Cork. Reporting to the Engineering Manager in this role you will provide Manufacturing Engineering service to the plant, in order to maximize the availability of Manufacturing Equipment. Have the exposure to manage engineering improvement in the team. Ensure continual compliance with the policies relating to Personnel, Quality, Engineering, Safety and Finance. Control all relevant engineering budgets. To support the engineering teams in controlling uptime of equipment and optimizing efficiencies. To develop the Engineering team with the emphasis on continual operational improvements and employee development. So let’s tell you a little more about this role… Key Responsibilities: Ensure the performance of day to day preventative, predictive and demand maintenance activity to maintain manufacturing and utility equipment. Liaise with Production to ensure equipment performance is maximized. Maintain records and documentation on relevant Engineering Procedures and preventative/ demand maintenance. To liaise with Internal/External Engineering Personnel and contract maintenance providers in maintaining trouble shooting, and installing/commissioning equipment. Carry out and implement equipment and process improvement initiatives. Ensure that budgets are tracked and communicated monthly. Provides a long range plan for equipment re-investment at the site both from a reliability and strategic perspective. Partner with production to ensure that sufficient windows for improvement projects are maintained and achieved. Establish with the Engineering Manager the department goals, schedules and timetables for activities. Work with the EHS, Projects and FUE Leads to create synergies and deliver exceptional performance. Ensure Improvement Projects are delivered on time, within budget and deliver the project stated objectives. Responsible for regularly communicating departmental achievements and progress to management. Operate within departmental and project budget requirements, highlighting budget and resource requirements. Long range plan developed and updated yearly for equipment improvements and capital requirements for replacement of critical equipment. Preparation of expenditure budgets for annual plan meeting. Maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Ensure compliance with calibration requirements. Completion of PM on manufacturing equipment. Management of relevant budgets within target. Cross train within manufacturing engineering. Implementation of equipment/process upgrade in an environment of continuous improvement. Support the Engineering Team in ensuring that manufacturing equipment is maintained to meet the required legal, divisional and corporate standards. Supervise external contractors. Prepare appropriate CAPA plans and implement timelines. Required to undertake specific investigations, and equipment monitoring, with the view to improve manufacturing performance e.g. reducing plant downtime and maximizing Plant output and yield. Qualifications Education: Bachelors Degree within Relevant Engineering Discipline Membership of the Institute of Engineers of Ireland (IEI) / Equivalent is Desirable : Experience: 2 years plus of Experience as an Engineering Supervisor or Project Manager 5 years plus of Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.
