Schedule: Monday to Friday with one Saturday morning every three weeks

Location: Waterford City

M.W Murphy & Son Sales Ltd is a well-established and trusted engineering supplier committed to delivering quality products and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking a reliable, motivated, and customer-focused Engineering Sales Advisor to join our growing team.

The Role:

This is a varied and hands-on position involving customer service, warehouse duties, stock handling, customer deliveries, and general operational support across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers both in-store and on the road through timely and professional deliveries.

This role would suit a candidate with previous experience in the engineering industry who is looking to further develop their skills within a busy and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of customer service, stock handling, or trade counter operations, be comfortable working both in-store and carrying out customer deliveries, and be confident using computers and internal systems as part of their daily duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting and advising customers in-store in a professional and friendly manner
• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
• Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
• Delivering goods to customers in a timely and professional manner
• Maintaining accurate stock control and warehouse organisation
• Assisting customers with collections and queries when required
• Following all health and safety procedures within the warehouse and on the road
• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks

Requirements:

• Full clean driving licence
• Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, delivery, or customer service role preferred
• Experience dealing within the engineering industry desirable but not essential for the right candidate
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Confident using computers and internal systems
• Forklift experience/licence advantageous but not essential
• Manual handling experience beneficial
