Engineering Specialist Aircraft Systems
Your role
As an Engineering Specialist Aircraft Systems, you will be primarily responsible for engineering services in Aircraft Systems provided by the Aer Lingus Engineering Department. Our Maintenance & Engineering Department drives Aer Lingus’ ambition by ensuring a safe, reliable, and efficient fleet through expert maintenance and innovation.
Your responsibilities as an Engineering Specialist Aircraft Systems will include:
- Management and assessment of all assigned Airworthiness Directives (AD) and other mandatory/non-mandatory Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness (ICA), e.g., Service Bulletins.
- Responsible for working in accordance with the Aer Lingus CAME and associated company procedures.
- Provide CAMO support for the Aer Lingus A320/A321/A330 series aircraft.
- Support Line and Base Maintenance to ensure aircraft serviceability and provide support to other departments in Aer Lingus as required.
- Process Technical Assistance Queries (TAQ’s) assigned to the Engineering Department.
- Liaise with Original Equipment Manufacturer, National Airworthiness Authorities, Part 21 organisations and other external agencies as required.
- Provide CAMO support for the delivery/Redelivery of Aer Lingus aircraft.
- Liaise with Compliance and Standards departments in relation to closing audit findings.
- Contribution to business cases and management of change risk assessments (HIRA).
- Provide Engineering Support to Part 145 and Maintenance Departments as required.
We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:
- Good working knowledge of AMOS.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with others at various levels across the department as well as sharing ideas and information.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high levels of attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with ability to take initiative and assist colleagues unprompted.
- Can work in a fast-paced environment and keep pace with change – acquiring knowledge/skills as the business develops.
- Hold an aircraft maintenance technical qualification in EASA Part 66 B1 or B2 disciplines, Engineering Degree or National equivalent.
- Preferably two years working experience in Aircraft Systems engineering.
- Knowledge of Airbus Technical Documentation.
- Experience in writing technical work instructions and technical reports.
- Experience in interpreting Manufacturers Publications.
- Good understanding of aircraft regulatory requirements.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
- Provide three verifiable references.
- Able to pass a five year security background check as this role is based in Dublin.
