Description

TLI Group are currently recruiting for an Engineering Support Services (ESS) Manager for our Engineering Department.

This role can be based in our Dublin, Cork or Tralee offices, and travel to sites is required.

Package:

23 Days of annual leave.

Key Responsibilities

Key tasks include, but are not limited to the following:

Design Outputs & Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Team Manager within TLI Group Engineering Design Team
  • Take ownership of the Design Technician team & actively manage their project activities
  • Liaise closely with Project Team Managers & Team Leaders
  • Identify, project resource requirements for Design Technician team and forward-plan design activity
  • Allocate tasks to individual Engineering Design Technicians, monitor progress vs programme
  • Review & check Engineering Design submissions in advance of issue
  • Support Lead Designers in all projects throughout the lifetime of each project
  • Assist tendering department as required with Bid submissionsEstablish & implement effective quality processes in adherence to ISO 9001 requirements
  • Carry out formal ISO audits throughout wider engineering design team
  • Contribute effectively as part of a multidisciplinary design team taking responsibility for of design outputs
  • Identify skills requirements & deficits where these exist for assigned personnel. Initiate appropriate upskilling & training plans where required

Qualifications & Skills Qualifications

3rd Level Qualification (Level 7 minimum)

Appropriate design qualification

Knowledge

Proficient use and knowledge of relevant design software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, AutoCad, Revit (or similar type software) would be an advantage

Strong knowledge of the utilities sector

Familiarity with current ESB/Eirgrid specifications & design requirements would be an advantage

Technical knowledge & drafting skills

Well-developed people skills with a team orientated approach

Knowledge of electricity distribution design and construction

Commercial awareness

Ability to manage a team
