STAFF NURSE/ENHANCED NURSE - Autism Day Service

Permanent Full Time Contract Available

Work Location

FOYNES, CO. LIMERICK

Staff Nurse 13-point scale €38,166- €56,592(pro-rata)

Enhanced Nurse (ID) 11-point scale €45,259 to €58,424 (pro-rata)

Panels will be formed as a result of this campaign from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

The role of a Staff Nurse

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join a specialist team to provide high quality, person centred care and support to an individual with Autism, incorporating structured approaches, community intervention strategies, and positive behavioural supports to enable meaningful participation in home and community life.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work in a structured, person centred environment, delivering consistent, skilled support that promotes independence, dignity, and quality of life.

This position involves:

· · Supporting one individual with autism, focusing on:

· Supporting the transition into the service.

· Promoting independence, choice and life skills.

· Support structure daily routines and community engagement with meaningful activities.

· Delivering structured, person centred care in line with assessed needs and care planning processes.

· Implementing positive behaviour strategies.

Applicants must:

· Be a registered Nurse ( RNID/ Mental Health desirable but not essential) maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

· Demonstrate experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disability and complex needs preferred.

· Have knowledge of person centred planning and knowledge of person directed and individualised support approaches.

· Excellent communication skills
