The Technology Architecture team are responsible for developing and governing our technology domain architecture and roadmaps, in line with our business goals. The Enterprise Architect is a key role on that team, accountable for defining business and technical domain architecture, roadmaps and principles to support our business strategy.

We’re looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to help shape business domains in line with business strategy, and who can: 

Key accountabilities:

  • Take overall accountability for the development of technology roadmaps and target architecture for one or more business or technical domains. Ensure the targets are used as reference for solution architecture and designs in that domain. These architectures must reflect a roadmap for migration and continuing optimisation of technology platforms to reduce complexity and lifetime cost.
  • Problem solve - take large complex business and/or technical domains and requirements and decompose into segments. Draw on subject matter experts to translate the complex into the simple to define a holistic architecture and roadmap.
  • Collaborate - establish connections with team and wider Technology, Architecture, Business and Vendor community. Work with them to ensure that the appropriate technology direction is set and adopted to meet business requirements.
  • Influence - Engage with the team and apply expertise to contribute to team outcomes and requirements to influence senior Business and Technology stakeholders. Manage complex stakeholder engagements.
  • Minimum criteria: 

  • 10+ years technology experience, preferably Financial Services. Enterprise architecture experience (4+ years).
  • Experience with one or more of the following domains in a Banking / Financial Services context – Customer, Credit, Payments, Accounts, Wealth, Treasury, Back Office
  • Knowledge of the architecture practice, principles of business analysis, requirements definition, SLAs and cost evaluation. Professional certification advantageous (TOGAF, CITA/IASA).
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology discipline advantageous.
  • Experience in developing and implementing roadmaps for modernising and simplifying legacy technical and data architectures
  • Strong stakeholder with proven experience of influencing senior stakeholders
  • Good interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
  • Experience of working with agile ways of working and cloud architectures to drive strategic outcomes
