A permanent full-time vacancy currently exists within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the following post and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates:-
Environmental Education Officer
37 hours per week
Scale PO3 and in the range SCP 34-37, £46,579 to £49,817 per annum.
Location: The location of this post will be confirmed following the appointment process and may be subject to review as part of the review of services.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for the implementation and co-ordination of Council’s Environmental Management System and accreditation to ISO14001 International Standard across all services.
Responsible to the Climate and Sustainability Manager for active engagement with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of Council’s Climate Change and Sustainability targets and maintain waste and environment awards.
Responsible for the development and implementation of Climate, Recycling and Environmental education programmes to householders, schools, businesses, community groups and Council employees.

The shortlisting panel will base shortlisting decisions on the information contained within the Essential Criteria narrative sections of the application form.
