- The management of Commercial function within the Health and Built Environment section, including human, physical and financial resources. This includes the management of proactive and reactive work by the section with respect to food control, the enforcement of health and safety, consumer protection, tobacco control and environmental protection.
- This post will have the responsibility for developing, delivering and leading statutory inspection programmes, education and the enforcement of relevant legislation.
- Ensure that the department complies with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements.
- Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in a timely and effective manner and that general confidentiality is maintained in all areas relating to the work of the Council.
