Job Description SummaryThe site Health, Safety, Environmental and Security Director is responsible for leading the site strategy programs focused on mitigating risk, driving regulatory compliance, and promoting a positive EHS culture. In this leadership role, you will manage EHS across the site and collaborate with business EHS and peers across the global supply chain for best in class practices. This role reports directly to the Site Leader and will be a key member of the site leadership team.

Lead the EHS Program deployment, working in partnership with the leadership team, to support growth and drive operational excellence, manage complex issues, lead long-term EHS planning, and support the overall business strategy.
Demonstrate strategic and tactical knowledge to deliver excellence and drive continuous improvement and compliance against all applicable requirements
Develop programs, tools and training to assist the team in ensuring compliance with legal requirements, implementing GE EHS programs, meeting business expectations and ensuring continuous improvement
Coach the team with a common vision to consistently delivers results
Analyze and communicate performance against expectations, provide feedback, establish and track required actions to improve performance
Provide technical and compliance support to the organization; respond to significant incidents and government requests/notices
Sustain a world class EHS program and safety culture; ensure robust pipeline and process for driving excellence certifications (ISO50001, 45001 etc.)
Provide technical support and guidance to the site Sustainability Team in achieving the GE 2030 sustainability objectives.
Ensure that robust Business Continuity, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health & Emergency Response programs are in place and effective.
Manage insurance and legal requirements as required.
Quality Specific Responsibilities
Ensure that you are fully aware of, and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Identify opportunities to partner with Quality to support QMS initiatives.
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Qualification in Occupational Safety, Health, Environment, Engineering, or a related field
Substantial experience with proven EHS leadership in a pharmaceutical / medical device manufacturing environment and significant experience leading a direct team
Membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) at Chartered / Fellow Status.
Ability to work in a matrix environment, influence and motivate teams to achieve a unified goal
Engage effectively with Regulatory Agencies (Health & Safety Authority (HSA), Environment Protection Agency (EPA), Irish Aviation Authority (IAA- Known Consignor), Irish Water / Local Authority).
Skill sets and experience in process improvement, lean, project management, solid communication, and analytical skills
Ability to make and take decisions with speed and accuracy based on available information and take ownership for assigned projects and programs
Expert knowledge of European, National & Local regulations, codes & standards, underpinned by a solid understanding of healthcare industry and safety standards
Experience leading a site security function, ensuring that Global Security Requirements are implemented, in addition to the effective implementation of the sites Known Consignor Program.
Working knowledge of Gensuite EHS management system would be advantageous
A good level of English and a valid work permit.
