Environmental Services Operations Manager
City, Banbridge & Craigavon CouncilDepot, Will Be Required To Work Across The Borough, ArmaghPO7 SCP 43-46 £54,495 - £57,866 per annum
The post holder will assist the Head of Department in providing a high-quality, customer-focused, efficient, safe and effective Service including the provision of services, programmes and capital developments in line with the Council’s policies and procedures. To operationally manage the activity and locations within the Service including:
• Waste Management
• Waste Collection and Disposal
• Depots
• Street Cleansing
The post holder will ensure continuous improvement to deliver a high-quality service adopting an innovative business planning approach underpinned by best practice.
The post holder will support the continuous improvement of services, ensuring integration of functions and responsibilities. They will be responsible for the management and delivery of a high-quality, flexible service in line with best practice and will be required to maximise business development potential.
The post holder will be expected to make a significant contribution to the strategic vision, direction, development and management of the Service including achieving key outcomes and targets, as well as ensuring the Service delivers on the Council’s Waste Management Strategy objectives.
The post holder will be required to work collaboratively and proactively to foster and sustain effective relationships and partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including other officers, elected members, outside bodies, businesses and local citizens to advance the Corporate and Departmental agendas.
