EPR System Support Specialist – Permanent, Full-time
The EPR (Electronic Patient Record) System Support Specialist is responsible for delivering day-to-day application support and technical resolution activity through the organisation’s ICT service management processes. The post holder will investigate incidents, service requests and recurring issues, engage with users to understand business need, and implement approved fixes or improvements through configuration, reporting, SQL and development activity.
The role is primarily support and service focused, but also includes a meaningful level of hands-on development and technical change delivery. The post holder will be expected to test changes thoroughly, maintain accurate technical documentation and support safe deployment into live environments.
Essential Qualifications:
· Relevant qualification in ICT, software development, computer science, information systems or equivalent practical experience.
· Experience in an ICT applications support, systems support or software support environment.
· Experience of working with a service desk or service management system to manage incidents, requests and changes.
· Experience of investigating issues, testing changes and supporting controlled deployments.
· Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
· Practical experience in an object-oriented language, ideally including Delphi.
· Good working knowledge of SQL for query writing, troubleshooting and validation.
· Understanding of testing approaches, change control and technical documentation good practice.
