The salary scale for this role is: 53,566 to €73,492

New Entrants to the Public Sector commence on the first point of the Scale

Purpose:

To bring Ireland’s outstanding food, drink and horticulture to the world, thus enabling growth and sustainability of producers.

In this role, to manage aspects of the implementation of EU Co-Funded Information & Promotion Campaigns, with a particular focus on the EU Dairy Ingredients campaign in China, Singapore and Vietnam. The role involves travel to Asia.

EU Co-Funded Campaigns Purpose: To create scale of investment for highly targeted B2B and B2C campaigns to defend our positioning in established markets and to prepare the ground in new high-potential growth markets.

What you'll do:

  • As an integral member of the broader Marketing Team, develop a collaborative relationship with the implementing body, evaluation agency and internal sectors team in delivering a world-class EU Dairy Ingredients promotion campaign.

  • Co-ordinate and assist with creative content development, implementation and evaluation for all promotional work packages, including campaign launch, digital assets, PR, events, trade shows and inward study visits.

  • Validate all marketing assets, ensuring they are in line with the campaign strategy, industry needs and EU Regulation.

  • Champion and ensure the digitisation, accessibility and archiving of all campaign collateral into central repository systems.

  • Develop and circulate periodic updates on the schedule of campaign events and initiatives with internal and external stakeholders, in liaison with the EU Programme Specialist.

  • Manage and develop a programme of inward study visits; assist in the recruitment and co-ordination of technical expert speakers for in-market seminars; and undertake travel to Asia as required to support campaign delivery.

  • Assist in the annual self-audit process, including compiling and submitting technical reports to the EU Commission ahead of set deadlines.

  • Assist in developing pipeline applications for future EU promotions.

  • Actively contribute to EU co-funding strategy execution and the One Bord Bia annual planning process, with opportunities to support other EU co-funded campaigns as required.

  • About you:

    Essential Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities:

    Qualifications:

    • Third-level qualification in business development, marketing or a related field is desirable.

    Knowledge:

    • Experience researching markets and analysing and interpreting information.

    • Experience delivering successful, metric-driven B2B and B2C promotions.

    • Experience building credible professional relationships with industry, business contacts and senior executives.

    • Experience in a marketing role is desirable.

    • Confidence and experience in public speaking, including presenting to professional and industry audiences, is desirable

    Skills:

    • The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the EU and Irish food and horticultural sectors.

    • Digital-first mindset and comfort working in an agile culture focused on continuous improvement.

    • Strong attention to detail in budget management and report writing.

    • Excellent organisational and time management ability.

    • Strong aptitude for systems and processes.

    • Strong appreciation of software applications, including Salesforce, Power BI and the Microsoft suite.

    • Strong appreciation of the dairy ingredients sector and knowledge of Asian business culture are desirable.
