Events Manager

EstateMount Juliet, Kilkenny
  • To oversee the running, organizing, set up, breakdowns and servicing of food and beverages of all meetings, conferences, banquets and weddings
  • Ensuring all meetings rooms and spaces are in a presentable condition and set as outlined as per Function Sheets.
  • Ensuring that all transactions have been posted accuratel to accounts for billing.
  • Liaising with the sales team, organizers and delegates prior, throughout and post events.
  • Ability to train and guide staff to company standards and SOP's.
  • Demonstrates a strong level of communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Cash handling and check takings at the end of a day's trading.
  • Excellent delegation, negotiation and people management skills.
  • Ensure that all team members have a clear handover and that there are clear goals and responsibilities outlined for their shift.
  • Computer literate with experience of using Emails, Word and Adobe InDesign.

Please Note:

  • Have 3rd level qualification in Hotel Management or equivalent.
  • Previously have worked in 4 or 5 star properties in a Managerial capacity.
  • A background in Food and Beverage is preferable.
  • Self-motivated person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Strong organisational skills.
