As a Facilities Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring flawless operations of our facilities and support the company's mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and walk-downs in GMP areas to ensure compliance and system reliability.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs, ensuring timely completion and documentation.
- Maintain validated operation of utilities and environmental systems.
- Manage change controls, deviations, and CAPAs related to Facilities activities.
- Lead larger plant equipment and system upgrade projects, ensuring compliance with GMP and safety standards.
- Participate in internal and external audits or inspections, providing technical input as required.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Facilities Coordinators and contractors.
- Allocate daily tasks, review maintenance reports, and ensure proper escalation of critical issues.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, and accountability across the Facilities team.
- Plan and execute small- to medium-scale facility upgrades and renovations.
- Support design, validation, and commissioning of major capital and expansion projects.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Validation, and EHS teams to ensure compliant execution with minimal operational impact.
- Manage vendor preventive maintenance schedules.
- Partner with Quality, IT, and Lab Operations to ensure alignment of operational and compliance requirements.
- Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and service reports in alignment with site budget and procurement processes.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as system uptime, PM completion, and energy usage.
- Identify and implement cost-saving, sustainability, and efficiency improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement in facilities processes, documentation, and asset management.
- Availability to provide on-call support as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a decision-making supervisory role.
- Outstanding skills in planning, scheduling, and prioritizing tasks.
- Skilled at formulating and putting into effect action plans.
- Proficient in providing support and mentorship in adhering to regulations.
- Ability to coordinate and manage contractors and vendors.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Strict adherence to safety and regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Facilities, or related field).
- Proven facilities experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, cleanroom, utilities (plumbing, compressed air, gases, electrical), and building management systems.
- Knowledge of GMP and relevant EHS regulations.
- Proven management or supervisory skills.
- Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and collaborator management skills.
- 5+ years’ experience in a GMP pharmaceutical or similarly regulated environment.
