Facilities Manager

To support growth and expansion we are currently recruiting for a Facility Manager to join our team in Carrigtwohill, Co Cork

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Continued Operation of the site Facilities encompassing all elements of Facilities Management including but not limited to Buildings, Plant Equipment, Hard Services & Soft Services, etc. 
  • Continued management of routine preventative maintenance
  • Maintain Operational Procedures, Preventive Maintenance Plans, Business Continuity Plans and Emergency Plans for Buildings and Utilities. 
  • Prepare documents to issue requests for tenders and management of tender process. 
  • Compare costs for required goods or services
  • Project manage, coordinate, and supervise third-party contractors,
  • Ensure the buildings meet health and safety requirements and comply with relevant legislation. 
  • Assist the local site Facilities Coordinators in directing, coordinating, and planning essential central services such as reception, mail, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling. 
  • Operate a BMS system and related functions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years experience in facilities management, with 2+ years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in FM software and MS Office.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams and external vendors.
  • Experience in facilities management or building services industry/consultancy. 
  • Expertise or familiarity with M&E, HVAC and refrigerated equipment. 
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems. 
  • Experience in project management and overseeing the work of external contractors. 
  • Experience in building environmental/energy efficiency. 
  • Strong IT skills, including good working knowledge of MS Office (essential) and relevant facility management software, such as AutoCad (preferred).
