PM Group now has an opportunity for a Facilities Manager with one of our top medical device clients based in the Kilkenny region.
The Facilities Manager will lead the management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of site facilities, utilities, and building services. The successful manager will ensure the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of site infrastructure while supporting operational and capital project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of site facilities, utilities, and building services.
- Lead a team of facilities engineers, technicians, and specialist contractors.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.
- Manage facilities-related budgets, contracts, and service providers.
- Drive energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Support facility upgrades, equipment installations, and capital projects.
- Ensure utilities systems (HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, steam, power, water systems, etc.) operate reliably and efficiently.
- Lead risk assessments, audits, inspections, and continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and EHS teams to support site operations.
- Support EHS personnel to ensure that all regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety are followed and supported.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years' experience in a Facilities Management leadership role within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of building services, utilities, maintenance systems, and contractor management.
- Experience managing budgets, service contracts, and capital projects.
- Strong understanding of GMP, Health & Safety, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
