POST OF PERMANENT FULL-TIME FACILITIES OFFICER (ADMIN GRADE IV)

Role Description:
To provide administration support to the Buildings & Facilities Department and the Health and Safety Department. The successful candidate will work closely with staff in all departments across the services in addition to working with external agencies.
Reporting To/ Responsible To: Buildings & Facilities Manger
Qualifications:
· A good general education to Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent.
· A recognised qualification in administration e.g. ECDL Qualification or equivalent, is desirable.
· A full clean driving licence & use of own car is an essential requirement of this post.
Experience:
· Experience in working in administration is essential.
· Experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities is an advantage.

Candidates must demonstrate the following skills:

· IT skills in particular MS word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams
· Touch typing
· Organisational skills
· Accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to prioritise their work

· Punctuality and good time-keeping
Working Hours:
35 hours per week based on a 5 day duty roster. Contracted hours of work are liable to change to meet the requirements of the post.
Annual Leave:
26 days per annum
Remuneration:
Department of Health Grade IV salary scale (01/03/2025)- €35,256 x 9 increments - €51,206 (Max) per annum.
LSI 1 €52,768 per annum is payable after 3 years on the maximum of the scale.
LSI 2 €54,370 per annum is payable after a further 3 years.
Tenure:
This position is permanent, full-time and pensionable.
Probation:
A probationary period of nine months from the date of appointment applies to the post.
The employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period should the employer find that the appointee is unsuitable to continue employment. The probationary period may be extended at the Employer’s discretion.

· Staff should treat each person with intellectual disability as an individual and at all times acknowledge and respect the rights and personal dignity of the person with intellectual disability.
· All staff are required to establish and maintain relationships with adults with disabilities that are based on respect and equality and that promote the independence of the individual.
