Fees Manager

We are now seeking an experienced, organised, and people-focused Fees Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our Fees Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in finance, accounting, or financial administration who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and delivering an excellent customer experience.

About the Role
The Fees Manager will lead the day-to-day operation of the Fees Department, overseeing the administration, collection, and management of afterschool fees across all Kids Inc programmes.
As the leader of the department, you will be responsible for ensuring the team delivers an efficient, accurate, and customer-focused service. You will provide day-to-day leadership, support and development to the Fees Team, while maintaining high standards of financial administration and identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance the customer experience.
Alongside leading the department, you will act as a key point of contact for parents and guardians in relation to afterschool fees, providing clear, professional, and timely support.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in finance, accounting, billing, or financial administration, together with proven experience leading or managing a team.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead, manage, support, and develop the Fees Team, ensuring high standards of performance and customer service
- Allocate workloads, monitor performance, and support the professional development of team members
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performing team culture
- Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to departmental processes, systems, and customer experience
Finance & Operations
- Oversee the administration, collection, and processing of fees for children enrolled in afterschool programmes and camps
- Ensure fees are invoiced, collected, and recorded accurately and on time
- Monitor outstanding balances and ensure appropriate follow-up is completed
- Maintain accurate and confidential financial records relating to fee transactions, adjustments, and correspondence
- Prepare reports on fee collection, outstanding balances, and payment trends
- Act as a key point of contact for parents and guardians in relation to billing, fee queries, and payments
- Work closely with internal teams to process refunds, adjustments, reconciliations, and other financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and financial procedures
About You
We are looking for an experienced people manager with a strong finance background, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a finance, accounting, billing, accounts receivable, or financial administration role
- Proven experience leading, managing, coaching, and developing a team
- Strong understanding of financial administration, invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliations
- Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Experience handling high-volume financial and administrative workloads accurately
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A professional, customer-focused approach
- The ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Experience
- Experience working in a childcare, education, or service-based environment
- Experience using finance, billing, or ERP systems
- Experience dealing directly with customers and managing high volumes of queries
- A relevant finance or accounting qualification
