Female Personal Assistant

The aim of the job is to assist a professional, determined woman with a physical impairment in own home, in all aspects of daily living personally and professionally.

Privacy and confidentiality are critical. 

The role involves assisting with a variety of tasks in my home, at work, in the community and enjoying a social life. Ability to flow between working on own initiative and take directions is also essential. Open communication is critical.

A willingness to work within the philosophy of Independent Living is necessary – on the job training will be provided, online HSEland mandated and people moving & manual handling are compulsory. You do not have to be strong to do the job well but general good health is important.

The job requires providing me assistance with the following:

Assistance with drying after shower

Assistance with dressing and undressing

Assistance with styling hair 

Assistance with transferring wheelchair in and out of vehicle and charging

Assistance with food preparation and cooking 

Assistance with all domestic duties

Assistance with exercising

Assistance when attending meetings

Assistance with attending meetings and social events (day and night)

Assistance with errands and shopping

Driving my vehicle, must have full clean driving licence and be over the age of 25

Occasional overnights (rare)

Other tasks as required

Own transport is necessary

Hours of work:

Monday to Sunday 7 hours per day: 8am – 1pm and 8pm – 10pm

every 3rd Saturday and Sunday
