FÍs Éireann / Screen Ireland (SI) is the national development agency for the Screen Sector investing in Talent, Creativity and Enterprise. The agency supports and promotes the Irish film, television and animation sector and the use of Ireland as a location for international production.
Screen Ireland is looking to recruit a Finance and Corporate Governance Executive who will work within the Finance and Business Affairs team and report directly to the Financial Controller
This is a varied position which will cover the Board’s responsibilities in terms of its status as a non-commercial semi-state body. The role has 3 functions Corporate Governance, Finance and Business Affairs.
The corporate governance part of the role encompasses the preparation of policies, risk management and procurement. The role will also act as the Board Secretary, ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of the Board and its committees and the timely information flows between the Executive and the Board. This candidate will ideally be a qualified Accountant who will also carry out accounting functions including month end reconciliations and have a full understanding of the Board’s accounting practices and procedures. The role will deputise for the Financial Controller.
Part of this role will also be the understanding of and interrogation of estimates of eligible spend for the production tax incentive. This part of the role will report directly to the Deputy CEO
