Finance Business Partner

An opportunity has a risen for a Finance Business Partner to design and establish custom financial models to support, position and track all financial aspects of business cases associated with transformation programmes at Glanbia, from a planning and reporting perspective. Key to success will be demonstrated experience of financial analysis, influencing at a senior level and an ability to challenge and present to Senior Stakeholders.

This 12 month fixed term contract position in Financial Control, Glanbia Enterprise Solutions Services (GES), will report to the GES Financial Director.

Key Elements of the role:

  • As Finance Business Partner, work directly with stakeholders to provide financial modelling and analysis to support decision making on business initiatives and transformation programmes.
  • Provide on-going monitoring and evaluation of actual performance against agreed business cases associated with transformation programmes, from a planning and reporting perspective.
  • Develop and maintain detailed value realisation model of programmes to reflect real-time data approved changes in order to demonstrate in-year and cumulative savings.
  • Ensure all design updates and changes are reviewed with stakeholders, signed off and in line with business expectations
  • Co-ordinate with PMO, functional leads and business leaders to ensure any scope changes to finance design are assessed and submitted through a formal change control mechanism for review and signoff.
  • Manage detailed financial planning models, budget and forecast processes end to end.
  • Support month end and FP&A working with the GES Finance Team to ensure alignment on all OPEX and Exceptional spend for planning and actual reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and governance frameworks related to benefits tracking and reporting e.g. Group finance, Procurement, Group tax etc
  • Co-ordinate with Group Finance function to ensure all costs are compliant with guidance and exceptional guidelines.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and updated forecasts for Interim and end of year Final audit.
  • Liase with Stakeholders as a trusted advisor to Identify cost-saving opportunities and support cost control initiatives through insight and analysis.

 The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar related field.
  • Industry or Practice experience in financial planning & analysis, strategic finance, or project accountant roles.
  • Finance business partnering experience in a similar role is preferred with strong technical and analytical accounting skills, excellent attention to detail, well organised and logical decision maker.
  • Clear and concise communicator who has a good influencing skillset and strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex financial data to Senior non-finance stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel and MS PowerPoint experience is essential with financial modelling skills and experience an advantage.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative project based environment where the focus is on delivery, continuous improvement and the challenge to make it better.
