Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Finance Graduate in our Finance Dept. in Mitchelstown. Finance Graduates play a key role in the generation of reliable and accurate weekly/monthly KPI reports which facilitate effective Management decision making. They are involved in generating Weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Monthly Management Accounts, and the Annual Financial Budget.
Core responsibilities for this role include:
- Assist in the provision of detailed weekly financial and non-financial operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare and assist in the completion of the Weekly P&L, highlighting and commentating on significant variances against Budget.
- Support in the preparation of monthly and year-end management accounts. This may involve inventory close-off reconciliations, journal entries, the posting of accruals and pre-payments, as well as the preparation of operating cost variance analysis.
- Responsible local daily and weekly controls, e.g. the reconciliation of liquid milk movements and milk solids profiles for specific customers.
- Participate in the preparation of the Annual Financial Budget.
- Participate and contribute to relevant Continuous Improvement activities.
- Participate in additional ad-hoc support and project work as required.
Candidates for this position must possess:
- A relevant 3rd level qualification
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to display business acumen.
- Be innovative with a 'can do' attitude and a proven ability to display a practical approach to problem solving.
- A proven track record in driving for results.
- Numerate and I.T. literate, proficient with Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience with Oracle is a distinct advantage.
- Influence, partner and challenge individuals across the business
- Strong team player, with a high level of drive and initiative.
