Financial Accountant – Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Control

As a Financial Accountant, you will be performing Balance Sheet Reconciliations, delivering to various deadlines, working closely with the Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Control team, and proactively engaging with the wider finance team. This role requires strong organisation, co-ordination, and communication skills.

What You’ll Do:
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
  • You will be performing Balance Sheet Reconciliations across all entities, in a quality and timely manner.
  • You will contribute to risk assessments and drive actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
  • You will evaluate the current set of in-scope Reconciliations & Controls, recommending ways to optimise, and further automate.
  • You will continuously review and evolvement of outputs, together with effective reconciliations, ensuring appropriateness of controls in line with business requirements.
  • You will assist in coordinating audits, examinations, and deliverable requirements from internal and external reviewers by supporting coordinating activities within the team.

What You’ll Bring

  • A professional qualification in accounting (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting or auditing, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP, as well as relevant regulations and frameworks.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with great analytical and problem-solving skills.
