Financial Accountant (Grade VII)

We are currently recruiting for the position of a permanent fulltime Financial Accountant.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role of Financial Accountant will play a pivotal role in leading and actively managing the various accounting and financial operations and processes, and will include assisting with financial planning and management of allocated resources, the preparation of monthly and annual reports and accounts, the management of financial records and reporting, liaising with external stakeholders and funders, and supporting the delivery of continuous improvement processes in the Finance function.

Skills and experience

• Relevant experience with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role with demonstrable evidence of finance managerial experience
• Professional accounting qualification
• Computer/IT skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong written and communication skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Demonstrate own initiative
• Analytical skills, and evidence of systematic approach
