Financial Accountant, Job Sharing

The Maryborough Hotel is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to manage all financial aspects of the business on a job-sharing basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant seeking a flexible working arrangement within a well-established hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for all financial operations of the business
• Management of bank and cash processes
• Maintenance and reconciliation of the nominal ledger
• Oversight of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
• Processing and control of wages/payroll
• Monitoring and management of stock controls
• Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting
• Reporting to the General Manager with financial insights and performance analysis

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within hospitality or a related sector
• Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a job-sharing arrangement
• Strong organisational and communication skills
