JOB PURPOSE
The post holder will report to the Deputy Head of Finance and represent them, and the section as required, within the post holders’ own sphere of responsibility.
The post holder will take the lead on Financial Accounting for the College. This will involve producing statutory financial statements, liaising with external and internal audit, preparing information for the Department for the Economy’s group financial statements, and will work with other members of the finance team on monthly management accounts .
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the College complies with financial reporting rules and regulations and will assist in preparing all compliance returns for the College.
The Financial Accountant will be the line manager for the College’s Assistant Accountant and will have oversight of the College’s Accounts Payable function.
