Financial Accountant

The Maryborough Hotel is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and motivated Financial Accountant to manage all financial aspects of the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant seeking a new challenge within a well-established family-owned four-star luxury hotel.

Key Responsibilities

· Responsible for the financial operation of the business

· Management of bank and cash processes

· Maintenance and reconciliation of the nominal ledger

· Oversight of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions

· Processing and control of wages/payroll

· Monitoring and management of stock controls

· Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting

· Reporting to the Financial Controller with financial insights and performance analysis

Requirements

· Qualified accountant

· Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within hospitality or retail sector

· Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Strong organisational and communication skills

· Results orientated, flexible, resourceful, & self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple deliverables
