Financial Controller - Permanent Full Time, Grade VII

Purpose of the Position:

The Financial Controller of NRH supports the Director of Finance in the provision of the overall financial management of the Hospital. As a key member of the Hospital Management Team, the post-holder will have the opportunity to provide support to the Director of Finance, the Board, the Chief Executive Officer and the Hospital Management Team across a wide variety of initiatives and developments.

The candidate must possess the following on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office:

• Current membership of a recognised or prescribed accountancy body such as ACCA, CPA, ACMA, CIMA, ACA or an equivalent accountancy body in another jurisdiction.

• Experience of working in an incorporated entity, i.e. a CLG.

• Significant relevant post-qualification experience in a large organisation with multiple stakeholders to include a proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders to ensure financial consequences are taken into account.

• Experience of finance and budgeting systems in a Hospital setting.

• Experience in team management and development

Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the Finance Department
