Financial Controller
The Role
The Financial Controller (FC) is responsible for the preparation, analysis, and reporting of the financial and operational performance of the Belgium and Netherlands (“BeNe”) region, including future acquisitions in addition to cultivating a culture of information-driven decision-making through timely, visible, and transparent information.
The FC will support the continuous drive for business growth and identify opportunities for improvements & value creation. The FC will support the career development of OASIS team Members, particularly (but not exclusively) their functional reports. The FC will engage with the BeNe operational team through fostering strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
The FC will report on the financial performance of the BeNe region across P&L, balance sheet, cashflow and other metrics. They will be responsible for liaising with the key stakeholders across the business to consolidate, analyse and challenge where appropriate the BeNe budget & forecast.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Controller to the BeNe region.
- End-to-end responsibility for the financial accounting (management accounts, reconciliations etc.).
- Budgeting & forecasting across the region providing insight into the performance and direction of the business.
- Corporation Tax and Value Added Tax matters for the region, engaging with local tax advisors where required.
- Providing support to the Local and Group Statutory audits
- Develop strong stakeholder relationships across the Business.
- Provide leadership and support career development for functional reports.
- Identify key initiatives to improve business performance and support the drive for digital process optimisation in your area of responsibility.
- Monitoring and reporting on key initiatives/projects in the region.
- Support strategic finance systems enhancements and digital optimisation initiatives in Finance.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or relevant experience in a related field
- Structured individual, focused on process and deadlines.
- Independent thinker, able to manage, create and prioritise own workload.
- Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong command of Excel.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels and of various disciplines.
- Strong communication skills, presentation skills and commitment to excellence.
- Proven capability of conducting and interpreting advanced quantitative/qualitative analysis, problem-solving, and data manipulation.
- Strong problem-solving/decision-making, continuous improvement, change management and leadership skills.
- Ability to engage with all levels of staff and focus on developing solutions that meet and/or exceed projected results while building and maintaining strong relationships and gaining trust.
