Financial Controller

Saint John of God Hospital, Stillorgan is an independent acute psychiatric teaching hospital with 180 in-patient beds and one of the leading European providers in mental health treatment and care. In addition to a range of outpatient services, which include psychiatry, psychology, WRAP (the Wellness Recovery Action Plan). The Hospital currently provides specialist services in Addictions, Psychosis, Eating Disorders, Psychiatry of Later Life and Adolescent services.

The Hospital is affiliated with University College Dublin, Trinity College Dublin, Dublin City University, the University of Limerick for undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare professional programmes, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland.

Financial Controller – Grade VII

(Full Time - Permanent)

Essential Criteria:

• Professional accounting qualification ACCA/CPA/CIMA/ACA etc.
• A minimum of 4 years post qualification experience
• Audit file preparation experience.
• Previous staff management experience
• Working knowledge of VAT and Payroll taxation issues.
• Working knowledge of Occupational Pension schemes and Public Sector Pension schemes.
• Standard office spreadsheet and word processing skills with the ability to apply new functionality where necessary.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, working accurately with attention to detail.
