Fitter

Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a Fitter on a 2-year Fixed Term Contract. Reporting to the Final Assembly Foreman, the ideal candidate will be highly motivated self- starter, dependable and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The candidate will have excellent attention to detail and have good communication skills. This position requires flexibility to work shift work.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Ability to understand and read assembly drawings.
• General knowledge of hydraulic systems
• General gear assembly-fitting bearings, seals and coupling alignment.
• Fabrication of parts using shears and bending machine

Other duties as assigned by the company from time to time

Qualifications & Competencies

• A qualified Fitter or other relevant mechanical related qualification
• Self-motivated with good organisational capabilities
• Ability to work as part of a team and to use own initiative.
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be available to work shift work 06:30am-15:00pm and 15:00pm to 23:30pm rotating each week.
