Job Role Floating Support Worker
Location To cover Southern Health and Social Care Trust area – Office base Newry
Salary Salary starting on £27,694 per annum (pro rata)
Hours 30 Hours per week
Monday to Friday between 9am - 5pm
The Service:
Regional Floating Support (Southern Floating Support Scheme)
Cedar delivers a range of services that enable people with disabilities to get the most out of life and to be fully included in their communities. Our Floating Support Services are delivered throughout Northern Ireland and aim to ensure that people can remain living independently in their own home.
The Role:
Providing a Floating Support Service to people who have a Physical Disability/Physical Health Issue, or Brain Injury, who require housing-related support to develop their capacity to live independently and maintain their tenancy in the geographical area of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust.
Note: Personal care is not required for this post.

- RQF level 2 Qualification, or equivalent (QCF, NVQ etc.)
- Minimum of 1 year’s paid and/or voluntary experience of providing support services to people with disabilities and/or other vulnerable individuals Knowledge of the effects of elderly people, or disability and/or other vulnerable groups
- Knowledge of the effects of disability and/or other vulnerable groups
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in IT skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
