Food Safety & Quality Manager – Maternity Cover (12 months fixed term contract)

Genesis Bakery, a leading Northern Ireland bakery supplying high-quality breads and cakes to major retailers, is seeking an experienced Food Safety & Quality Manager to join our Technical team on a maternity-cover basis.
You will support the Head of Technical in ensuring that all products are safe, legal and consistently meet quality standards. Key responsibilities include maintaining and improving the Quality Management System, managing new product and artwork critical paths, supporting product launches, preparing for customer and BRC audits, conducting internal audits, investigating complaints and developing the technical team.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in a similar food safety or quality role.
• A strong working knowledge of HACCP, BRC, retailer codes of practice and food legislation.
• A food- or science-related degree, or equivalent qualification.
• Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Confidence using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; HACCP training is desirable.
