Avoca is seeking a passionate and commercially driven Foodhall Manager to lead our Foodhall in Dunboyne. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced retail leader who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and is committed to delivering exceptional standards while leading and developing a high-performing team.

  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience within food retail or a similar fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Foodhall team to achieve sales, margin and operational targets.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and professionally resolve escalated customer queries and complaints.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Foodhall, ensuring high standards are maintained at all times.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures for the department/store as required.
  • Oversee cash handling and cash reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
  • Manage stock ordering processes to ensure product availability while minimising waste.
  • Maintain high merchandising and presentation standards throughout the Foodhall.
  • Recruit, train, coach and develop colleagues to build an engaged and high-performing team.
  • Ensure operational compliance with company policies, procedures and food safety standards.
  • Support effective rota planning and the day-to-day coordination of colleague breaks and departmental resources.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider management team to deliver commercial objectives and an exceptional customer experience.
  • Undertake additional duties as reasonably required to support the successful operation of the business.
