Join us as a Full Stack Web Developer

Do you love to code and create impactful business solutions? Three Ireland’s Digital team is looking for a Senior Full Stack PHP Developer to help build, secure, and evolve our high-quality digital platforms using Laravel, AWS, and modern web technologies.

You will join a first-class, collaborative in-house team working across customer-facing and internal applications in a rapidly growing, innovative environment. If you are a senior Laravel developer who thrives on autonomy, security-focused development, and delivering polished digital experiences, we would love to hear from you.

What else it involves:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve customer-facing and internal Laravel applications with clean, secure, scalable, and testable code.
  • Ensure applications remain up-to-date with the latest Laravel and dependency versions, performing necessary upgrades confidently and systematically.
  • Write secure code aligned with industry standards and best practices, proactively addressing potential vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain and improve unit testing coverage and CI/CD pipelines to ensure high code quality and stability.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, product specialists, and business owners to translate requirements into dynamic, practical digital solutions.
  • Lead technical decisions and architectural discussions, providing clear, maintainable solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot using CloudWatch logs, proactively addressing production issues.
  • Work with external partners for secure, seamless integrations with high standards of security and performance.
  • Participate in team workshops, tech talks, and brainstorming sessions to continuously improve how we build and deliver digital services.
  • Advocate for strong UI/UX principles and performance optimization across all platforms.

The Skills we are looking for:

  • 7+ years of professional PHP full stack development experience, with 5+ years using Laravel in production environments.
  • Strong expertise in:
  • Object-Oriented PHP and Laravel, including systematic upgrade processes.
  • Writing secure code, understanding common vulnerabilities (OWASP) and how to mitigate them.
  • PHPUnit or equivalent testing frameworks for robust automated testing.
  • MySQL, database design, and performance optimization.
  • JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery, JSON, Vue.js (or similar), webpack.
  • Building and consuming RESTful APIs within service-oriented architectures (SOA).
  • CSS and SASS/SCSS for modern, maintainable frontends.
  • Docker, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • AWS services: EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, CloudWatch and Linux (LAMP stack).
  • Git/GitHub, including GitHub security and code review workflows.
  • Comfortable working independently, managing priorities, and delivering solutions without close supervision while communicating effectively within a team and JIRA or similar project management tools.

Nice to have:

  • Kubernetes experience in production.
  • Advanced caching strategies for perfomance.
  • Familiarity with headless CMS or API-first architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with automated security scans and dependency vulnerability management.
