Golf Club Manager
Job Purpose:
LeisureWorld Group has been managing the administration aspects of Mahon Golf Course since 2005 on behalf of Cork City Council.
We are now seeking to appoint a Manager.
The successful candidate will oversee the management & operation of the Club, ensuring compliance with operating standards and procedures.
The post of Golf Club Manager presents an excellent opportunity for a dynamic self -driven professional, who has the capacity to work closely with a variety of stakeholders (LeisureWorld Executive, Cork City Council and the Club Officers), to deliver a quality service to all members, guests and visitors.
The ideal applicant will have experience of club management, be familiar with member hospitality and will have some knowledge of golf administration.
The candidate will have excellent interpersonal, people management and communication skills and relevant experience, including managing and motivating staff.
Reporting Duties include:
Overseeing the preparation and development of budgets and reporting on monthly basis on the performance of the course financially.
Creating a welcoming environment for all members and visitors to the course and clubhouse and ensuring both are presented to the highest standards.
Overseeing all Mahon Golf Course operations and to implement, monitor and report on key performance measures to both LeisureWorld Management and Cork City Council Directorate.
Maintaining a visible presence and communicating frequently and thoroughly with the membership.
Ensuring excellent relationships & communication skills with the Officers and Course Management.
Liaise with Cork City Council Directorate & Course Management Team and Golf Club Captain.
The successful candidate will have:
A high level of enthusiasm and commitment to the role.
Possess a strong track record of providing service excellence and of managing a multi-functional team with the emphasis on people management.
Proven management and administration skills with a well-organised and efficient style with high levels of organisation, and attention to detail.
A knowledge of retail & POS software systems.
Business acumen and financial literacy.
A flexible approach to working hours with the ability to work under pressure.
Involvement in GUI / Club Management Education, though CMAE or other recognised body, would be an advantage.
