Fully or Part Qualified Apprentice Motor Mechanic

Belturbet Car Sales, Cavan, a Family run business with over 50 years’ experience are a certified Bodyshop, Car Service & Repair Centre and are currently looking for a fully qualified mechanic or 2nd /3 rd Year Apprentice Mechanic to join our team.

The successful candidate will assist in the servicing and repairing of vehicles to very high standards. As well as gaining technical competence in the mechanics of a vehicle, you will have the opportunity to continue your apprenticeship and learn from our skilled mechanics.

Full-time position with Immediate Start

Applicants will ideally:

• Be fully qualified or have 2-4 years’ experience and be on route to becoming a qualified mechanic.
• Have a full, valid driver’s licence.
• Have a keen interest in the motor industry.
• Have experience in all /most aspects of vehicle servicing and diagnostics.
• Display good problem-solving skills and ability to work on own initiative.
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills, with very good English.
• Be diligent, with a flexible approach to work.
• Demonstrate good work practices including time keeping, tidiness, responsibility, quality awareness and safety awareness.
• Have computer knowledge.

Responsibilities include:

• To service & repair vehicles, including computer diagnostics.
• Perform work as outlined on the job card with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with company and Manufacturer standards.
• Assist technicians with the repair/s of vehicles.
• Maintaining a clean and neat workspace and adhering to all company policies, procedures and safety standards.
• Upskilling and attendance at all training as required.
