Fundraising Officer

Position summary:

Reporting to the Fundraising Coordinator, Jigsaw’s new Fundraising Officer will be a central member of the communications and fundraising team. You will join a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative and multi-award-winning 10-person team that shares a passion for increasing awareness and funds for Jigsaw's youth mental health services and support.

This is a varied fundraising role, supporting activity across the wider Fundraising team, with a particular focus on the day-to-day delivery of Community Fundraising and Events & Challenges fundraising activity. You will support donor and participant recruitment, event management, campaign delivery, relationship building, supporter retention and stewardship, helping to grow our passionate community of fundraisers and supporters.

You will be a people-focused relationship builder who enjoys engaging directly with supporters and excels in working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organisational goals. Working closely with the Fundraising Coordinator and wider Fundraising team, you will contribute to the effective delivery of fundraising activity in line with our national Fundraising Strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will work closely with the Fundraising Coordinator, Fundraising Manager and the wider team in increasing supporter acquisition and retention across our key strategic audiences of community and events fundraisers, delivering agreed KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), agreed income targets and retention objectives, both regionally and nationally.
• Possessing excellent people skills, you will build strong person-to-person relationships with fundraisers and supporters. You will be comfortable engaging regularly with supporters by phone, email and face-to-face, representing Jigsaw at events and responding professionally and diplomatically to sensitive or challenging situations.
• In line with the highest standards of fundraising practice, you will be central in the development, planning, and budgeting of our suite of fundraising and donor recruitment campaigns, with a focus on communications, acquisition, retention, cultivation, and recognition.
• You will build strong and lasting supporter relationships, growing engagement, connection and lifetime value while championing a high standard of supporter care across the department.
• You will have experience of managing donors through a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform and will contribute to Jigsaw CRM’s development and data management plans in line with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) guidelines.
• With a keen eye for results and impact, you will capture and communicate fundraising data in a clear manner that can enable decision-making quickly and effectively.
• Internally, you will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Jigsaw network, helping to promote a strong culture and understanding of the role of Fundraising and donor recognition throughout Jigsaw.
• You will actively participate in the delivery of all elements of our organisational Fundraising Strategy.
• You will work collaboratively with other departments across Jigsaw and be a supportive and effective team member.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Essential Criteria:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working professionally within fundraising, community development, project management or a related area.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and comfortable speaking or presenting in person, on the phone and online.
• Experience of working with a CRM system (ideally Salesforce).
• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• You are insights-driven and are committed to quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Demonstrated ability to bring fundraising projects from strategy development through to execution, in line with fundraising income targets.
• You are passionate about supporting young people with their mental health and achieving change in Irish society.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with co-workers in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrate initiative and a drive for results.

Desirable Criteria:

• A 3rd level qualification in fundraising, marketing or related field.
• Experience in Salesforce is a distinct advantage.
• Proficient in presenting and public speaking.
• Previous experience in an NGO environment.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Factors taken into account in determining an appropriate scale include the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications relevant to the job.The salary range for this role will be €36,166 - €51,290.
