General Manager Human Resources, HSE Mid-West Acute and Older Persons Services (Grade Code: 0041)

There is currently one permanent, whole-time vacancy available.

Please note that no panel will be formed as a result of this recruitment campaign. This campaign will be used to fill the listed post only and no additional jobs will be offered to candidates successful at interview. Once the post is filled the candidate pool will be disbanded.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible candidates are those who on closing date for applications can demonstrate:

This campaign is confined to staff who are currently employed by the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies*, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004 as per Workplace Relations Commission agreement -161867

Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition hold:

  • A third level qualification preferably in Human Resources or Health Services Management or other relevant qualification (Quality & Qualifications Ireland Level 8 or equivalent) and/or professional membership CIPD would be an advantage).
  • Extensive experience at a senior level in a Human Resource management role.
  • A proven ability to develop, manage and deliver effective HR strategies.
  • A track record of successful and innovative leadership.
  • A record of delivering change, working in a complex environment through strong interpersonal and communications ability.
  • Experience of managing and working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders, as relevant to the role.
  • Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

Character

Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
