General Manager, Mobile Vaccination Service

PURPOSE OF THE POST

Under the direction of the Regional Director of Public Health, the General Manager will have key operational accountability for defined programmes of immunisation services delivered within the HSE and West and North West Region to meet population health needs with a key focus on service quality, safety and regulatory requirements.

The post holder will :

· Lead the continuous improvement of service quality, risk management, and patient safety, including implementing performance monitoring systems and upholding safety and quality benchmarks.

· Support the Regional Director of Public Health to manage business and resource aspects, including budgetary oversight and performance reporting systems of all assigned immunisation programmes and services.

· Work closely with Public Health team, IHA Management Teams, Community Healthcare Areas, Regional Structures, National HSE and external partners, stakeholders & organisations to support the safe, efficient & smooth running of all immunisation/vaccination programmes under their remit.

· Be responsible for supporting line management in the development and execution of appropriate vaccination policies/strategies in line with national objectives.

· Be responsible for ensuring the effective use of available resources to the services for which she/he/they are responsible.

There is currently one Permanent, Full Time post available, General Manager, Immunisation/Vaccination Service in HSE West and North West Region.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for General Manager Mobile Vaccination Team HSE West and North West Health Region from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose duration,, may be filled.
