General Operative
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Note: The following list, which is not exhaustive, sets out the broad range of duties that may be required to be undertaken by a General Operative appointed to the position.
Carrying out minor maintenance and repairs
Reporting of major maintenance issues and co-ordinate and assist maintenance contractors on site.
General maintenance of the grounds around the building. Clearing leaves and debris.
Heavy lifting of large deliveries of stationery/printer consumables/photocopier paper to relevant sections.
Keeping a record of the heating oil and orders through administration when required.
Assisting OPW personnel with any enquiries that they may have regarding the building.
Seasonal operations such as power hosing, small paint top ups, clearing of ice and snow from footpaths
and car park during winter
Ensuring the general area around the building is safe for staff and customers and co-operating with all
Safety, Health and Welfare at Work regulations
Relocation of office furniture and equipment as required.
Any other general duties as directed and may be required from time to time
Salary: €559.49, €592.67, €613.25, €623.67, €630.95, €641.31, €651.69, €655.72, €665.96 per week
