About the role

We have a great opportunity for a General Operative to join our Kerry Team in Carrigaline, Co. Cork, on a full-time permanent basis.

This is a varied role with a primary focus on production. It is ideal for candidates with previous manufacturing experience who are technically minded, eager to engage in continuous improvement initiatives, and open to cross-training in other departments. The work pattern may change based on demand, and overtime opportunities are available.

Where will you work?

Our Kerry site in Carrigaline specialises in the production and distribution of enzymes and brewing ingredients for a global market. Located in a quiet, green area, the site is conveniently near a bus station, making it just a 30-minute journey from Cork city. The onsite parking is available.

What will you do?

Your responsibilities as a General Operative will include:

Actively engaging in relevant training plans to ensure target outcomes are achieved.

Ensuring all operations are carried out as per procedures.

Complying with all Safety and Environmental standards.

Maintaining the production areas in a clean and organized manner.

Developing a working knowledge and understanding of relevant plant equipment, pipe runs, services, etc.

Engaging in cross-training and being flexible to work in other departments if required.

Ensuring all appropriate documentation is completed in a neat and timely manner.

Adopting a proactive approach in achieving site, departmental, and individual targets.

Ensuring safe and efficient use of forklift trucks.

Continuously improving in day-to-day duties.

What do you need to be successful?

Previous experience in a manufacturing production environment is required. Preferably in a liquids blending role.

Experience and certificate for forklift truck (counterbalance) is required.

Leaving certificate or equivalent is required.

Third level certificate in engineering/production (e.g. QQI/FETAC level 5) in desirable.

Good teamworking and communication skills.

Good organizational skills.

An energetic person, willing to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Computer literate – Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP.
