We’re looking for hard-working, practical individuals to join our landscaping teams. This is a job for someone who doesn’t mind working in the rain, cold, wind or sunshine, happy to work outside and take pride in creating and maintaining great-looking natural spaces. You’ll be part of a team transforming outdoor spaces — planting, turfing, maintaining lawns and gardens, building and maintaining landscapes and keeping everything looking its best. No two days are exactly the same and you’ll be able to see the results of your work. You don’t need years of landscaping experience. A good attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are more important. We provide training and opportunities to develop your skills and progress into more skilled and senior roles.

Position: General Operative (Landscapes Department)

Contract: Full Time/Permanent

Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Location: Cork City Area

This role will involve the use of machinery and equipment and will include physical exertion (manual handling etc.) on a daily basis. This job description outlines some of the duties and responsibilities that are associated with your role but it is by no means an exhaustive list and may be amended as the management of the company directs.

• Lawn care – mowing, strimming and edging.
• Shrub and hedge pruning and maintenance.
• Tree maintenance.
• Weed control and herbicide application.
• Litter and debris collection.
• Seeding and turfing of lawns.
• Paving/light civil works.
• Tree and shrub planting.
• Ad hoc duties.

• Adhering to Company policies and procedures in relation to all aspects of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality.
• Adhering to clients site rules and regulations in general and in relation to Health and Safety.
• Follow instructions provided by management and your site Team leader
• Work as part of a team to ensure quality of work is delivered to an excellent standard.
• Work completed is carried out in an efficient and timely manner

• Hard-working and reliable.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Practical and enjoys working with their hands.
• Takes pride in doing a job properly.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Keen to learn new skills and progress.
• Landscaping, construction, machinery or agricultural experience is an advantage.
• Safe Pass and/or driving licence is an advantage
