Job Purpose

To perform all duties of a General Operator, ensuring all products are manufactured in line with our production plan. This includes adhering to stringent quality standards and ensuring a quality product is delivered to the customer on time, while working safely and in compliance with established safe systems of working.

Key Responsibilities:

• Comply with current systems of working, including established shift patterns.

• Work as part of a team to achieve daily/weekly production targets.

• Achieve the highest possible quality standards, working within the guidelines outlined in the established quality systems to achieve customer specification.

• Follow standard operating procedures and training to ensure the product is finished and packed.

• To pack product as per the customer specification.

• Comply with the sampling process as per customer request.

• Participate as part of a team to maximize production efficiency.

• Participate in continuous learning and development to update skills and participate in improvement initiatives in production.

• Work flexibly across all the production departments as needed. 

Health and Safety:

• Work and encourage others to work safely, adhering to health and safety procedures.

• Report all accidents, dangerous occurrences, and non-conformances to management.

Person Specification:

• Flexible and prepared to work shifts to meet business needs.

• Sound process knowledge of a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

• Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare market desirable not essential. 

• Familiar with quality standards and procedures.

• Methodical approach to undertaking tasks.

• Able to work with minimal supervision.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Good organisational and time management skills.

• Adaptable to change.

• Willingness to learn.
