General Operative

The Role

Sofina Foods EU is seeking reliable and dedicated General Operatives to join our morning shift production team at our Callan site. You’ll be involved in the manufacturing of high-quality pork and bacon products, upholding the highest hygiene, safety, and quality standards for our valued customers.This is a hands-on opportunity to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment, with full onsite training provided to help you become a fully skilled member of our production team.

Pay: €13.60 / hour

Hours: 6am - 2:30pm Monday to Friday

Your Key Responsibilities

As a General Operative, you will:

• Operate across multiple production lines, adapting to varying speeds and complexity
• Ensure machinery is used safely and in compliance with food safety and health protocols
• Understand and follow the daily production plan, assisting with line setup and material preparation
• Carry out all pre-start, hygiene, and safety checks as instructed
• Deliver tasks to a high standard, with care and consistency
• Support your team to meet production targets and maintain site standards
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene practices at all times
• Help maintain a clean and well-organised work area

The Ideal Candidate

• Be comfortable working in a chilled environment for extended periods
• Be able to stand for over 4 hours and move freely around the factory floor
• Be reliable, with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn – full training provided
