The Society of St Vincent de Paul is a Christian voluntary organisation committed to offering support, friendship, promoting self-sufficiency and working for social justice. The Sunshine Fund requires Kitchen and domestic staff for the 2020 holiday season. The primary purpose of the role is to work under the direction of the House Manager in the efficient running of the kitchen, pantry and housekeeping departments. Applications are invited from those who will be available for work during the months of May, June, July and August 2020. 

The ideal candidate will possess the following;
  • Good educational background.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and own initiative
  • Good communication skills,
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and energetic person,
  • Has a clear understanding of the SVP, it’s ethos and values
  • Understands the staff/volunteer dynamic
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Experience of working in the community / voluntary sector is desirable
  • Experience in a similar role is an advantage
